The first wave of Dallas Comic Con guests were announced at Sci-Fi Expo last weekend. So far this is an all-star lineup! So start planning your trip, because this year will be crazy! Dallas Comic Con will be at the Dallas Convention Center, May 16-18.
Rightfully titled the “horror king”, Englund has starred in some of the most iconic horror films of our generation, and is most well-known for his role as Freddy Krueger in The Nightmare on Elm Street.
Stan “the man” Lee is the king of comics and the president and chairman of Marvel comics. He is responsible for the most iconic of super heroes and collaborated with the artistic talents of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. Lee has attended Dallas Comic Con events in the past. Lee draws large crowds and lately the number of conventions he has been attending has been decreasing. There is usually the opportunity to purchase a photograph op in advance.
Shatner is a familiar face to the Dallas Comic Con scene. Most famously known as his role as “Captain Kirk” in the original Star Trek series and other following Star Trek films and shows. Since, he has taken roles in drama series and most recently, a comedic role as the “Priceline Negotiator”. Shatner’s panels are typically energetic, interactive, and packed full of Trekkies!
Fillion is most known for his role in the television series Firefly and as Captain Hammer in the ever so catchy musical with Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day, Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog. Fillion was scheduled for the Dallas Comic Con event in summer of 2013 but fell sick and was unable to attend, making his presence at Dallas Comic Con even more anticipated.
